Wenn ich ehrlich bin, bin ich mit meinem kulturellen Jahresrückblick wahrscheinlich eher spät dran, weil ich diesen dritten Beitrag über meine Lieblingsmusik in 2025 sehr prokrastiniert habe. Irgendwie war 2025 in großen Teilen musikalisch irrelevant für mich; anders kann ich es nicht beschreiben.
Es gab ein paar Highlights, wie das neue IDER Album, eine meiner Lieblingsbands, über deren erste Singles ich aber schon in meinen Faves & Discoveries von 2024 geschrieben habe. Ich war im Sommer auch auf einem Konzert zum neuen Album, was sehr schön war und habe außerdem im Februar ein Tua (ein weiterer meiner All time favourites) Konzert besucht. Aber ich habe schon mehrmals über meine Lieblingskünstler*innen und ihre Konzerte berichtet, könnte dazu also nicht viel neues beitragen.
Natürlich kann ich auch KPop Demon Hunters und den Soundtrack zum Film nicht unerwähnt lassen, aber auch darüber habe ich schon in einem früheren Blogpost geschrieben.
Deswegen wird dieser Beitrag nun etwas anders aussehen. Und zwar werde ich eine kleine Familientradition mit Euch teilen: meine Tante wünscht sich seit nunmehr fast 10 Jahren zu Weihnachten Playlists mit unseren Lieblingsliedern des Jahres. Und diese Playlist ist mir dieses Jahr auch etwas schwerer gefallen als in vergangenen Jahren. Aber sie existiert und ich werde sie jetzt einfach mit Euch teilen, um so meine musikalischen Highlights darzustellen. Meine einzige Regel ist, dass Du bitte NICHT Spotify nutzt, um diese Lieder anzuhören (!!!)

So instead, I have decided to share a small family tradition with you this year: my aunt had an idea almost a decade ago, to have us all create a playlist for her with our favourite songs of the year. We’ve been doing this for a long time now and it’s a great Christmas present and a fun thing to do every year. This year, I also struggled a bit with making the playlist, but it exists and I have decided to just share it with you now to show you my music highlights of 2025. My only request is that you DO NOT use Spotify to listen to these songs(!!!)
